As the Official Water of the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, Saratoga Spring Water was woven into every moment of this three day festival and surrounding events. From March 6th-8th, Saratoga held a semi-private tasting activation hosted by Top Chef Finalist and local Charleston restaurant owner, Chef Shuai Wang. Through thoughtful integration and organic guest engagement, Saratoga reinforced its role as the perfect complement to the culinary experiences and conversations that defined the weekend.

SUPPER CLUB CAFE

The Supper Club Cafe delivered a premium, inviting, and visually striking dining experience that drew guests in naturally. The layout supported smooth guest flow and was ideal for capturing content. Chef Shuai presented in front of the signature blue bottle wall, introducing his three-course tasting and sharing his culinary background, creating a personal and memorable connection with guests. The thoughtful design and elevated presentation enhanced the tasting experience, while the combination of seating, décor, and branded elements reinforced the activation’s premium positioning. Guests consistently complimented the space, saying it was the most beautiful activation at the festival.

THREE COURSE TASTING MENU

Chef Shuai created a delicious three-course tasting menu
for our guests, inspired by dishes from his Charleston restaurants, Jackrabbit Filly and King BBQ. He and his team presented each course on silver trays, and Shuai spent time with guests throughout the seating, sharing the story behind the menu, his work, and his restaurants. Guests were highly engaged - asking questions, offering compliments, and many even said it was the best food they had at the entire festival. Two of the courses incorporated Saratoga Water, and
all three were paired with guests’ choice of still or
sparkling Saratoga.

In Conversation with Chef Shuai

In the culinary world, some chefs follow trends, while others tell stories. Chef Shuai, the celebrated force behind Charleston’s Jackrabbit Filly and King BBQ, is a master storyteller. His journey, a “unique triangle” of influences from Beijing, Queens, and Charleston, is woven into every dish he creates. It’s a commitment to authentic, heritage-driven flavor that resonates deeply with the values of Saratoga Spring Water. We sat down with the chef to discuss his inspirations, his philosophy on purity, and his remarkable path to success.
